3 Letter Coffee Co. was founded on the representation and depth of two personal passions, coffee, and service. Over the last 20 years, our founder has been serving his country and supporting local communities. Beginning his career as a Volunteer Firefighter for a small town in New Jersey, to having spent the last 13 years as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer stationed throughout the United States; currently residing in our Nation’s Capital, Washington, DC.

For Washingtonians, a popular term referenced in the Federal workspace is “3 Letter Agency.” This refers to various Government entities who are best identified by their three-letter acronym(s). Most all Federal agencies have shifts requiring essential personnel to work 24/7/365 for the safety and progress of our citizens. Supporting these critical missions requires long hours, immense dedication, and fuel! [Enter, 3 Letter Coffee Co.]!

At 3 Letter Coffee, we take a minimalistic approach to our business, providing three roasts to choose from. We operate this way for two reasons. First, it reduces decision fatigue. As a society, we are constantly bombarded with an endless barrage of choices and selections that tend to lead to making decisions more complex than they need to be. By consciously reducing the number of options available, we enable definitive decisions to be made more easily. Second, we believe in providing high-quality products bearing consistency no matter the roast or blend. To accomplish this, we roast four days per week and will never ship out beans that are more than three weeks past their roast date. This will allow our coffee lovers to enjoy their daily fuel with maximum freshness!
